Aug. 7, 2008. -- Come spend a day at sea fishing aboard an ocean sportfishing boat with family and friends as part of the DFG's California Fishing Passport Program. In partnership with NOAA Fisheries, Friends of Rollo/United Anglers of Southern California and Angler's Legacy, two Southern California fishing trips are slated for Dana Point on Aug. 10 and San Diego on Aug. 11. A rod and reel set donated by Abu Garcia will be given away to one winning team each day, and all novice anglers will receive custom fishing starter kits donated by Berkley, Bass Pro Shops and Plano at the end of the day to help encourage them to come out fishing again.
